Get Out!

January 12, 2007 · 4 Comments

So I guess that whole “eat your total daily points” really does make some difference, because I weigh 3 pounds less than I did on my home scale the last time I weighed (sometime earlier this week) and it is the closest I have been to 220 in a few months.  I was so shocked, I went and got my glasses and put them on to make sure I was reading the scale right.

220. That is still such a painful number to look at though. Ack!  Ok, ok, I can do this…

Thursday food:
Slept in late because Mike was sick Wednesday night & I was worried about him. Got up at noon. Skipped an entire meal. Eek!

Lunch:
7 pepperoni slices
1 bagel with B&B

Snack:
Popcorn

Dinner:
2 slices of Papa John’s pizza (16 points total)
2 slices of cheese bread

I hate to be a nag…but I cringe at your lack of vegetables and fruit
I am doing the point thing to so I feel your pain

I would pick a scale and stick to it. So many scales can be off from moving around or alot of use. So, I would just pick one, and use those numbers.

I know, Stephanie. I’m working on it. I did have fresh broccolli this week, so that counts – right? We’ve had a stomach bug going through our house this past week though, so the veggies are still upsetting me when I eat them. Plus I still haven’t taken the time to make a good grocery store run since I started the diet.

Congrats on the weight loss! Weighing is a funny thing ; there are so many variables that play into the outcome — water retention, monthly cycles, time of day, weight of clothing, and differing sensitivities in scales. It looks like you found the right scale here, so you should try to use that one exclusively in the future. Glad the 2 pound gain was a fluke. Your program is going to work — it’s mathematical certainty. :)

Hope you and your family get well soon!
